1. Does the school have accreditation international accreditation?

Stockholm School of Economics is a member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)) and is accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System.
The School is also the part of the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS).

2. What educational institution is the SSE affiliated with in Russia?

Stockholm School of Economics is a branch of the oldest private economic university in Sweden and is 100 % owned by SSE.

3. What is a modular format?

Module is equal to one week starting on Friday and finishing on Tuesday. Classes start at 9 a.m. and end at 9 p.m. For example, in our EMBA programs there are all in all 15 different blocks - modules - in each program. On average there is one module in 4-5 weeks. Between modules participants get educational materials, and home assignments for individual preparation. All School programs have modular format.

4. Where do the studies usually take place?

Majority of our programs are conducted in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Stockholm. For instance, fifteen modules of two-year EMBA program take place in Saint Petersburg (major part), in Moscow (three - four modules), two modules in Stockholm, and one module elsewhere abroad.

5. What is the admission procedure to the International Executive MBA programs?

The admission is conducted both in Saint Petersburg and in Moscow. It consists of three stages:

a) Application form with recommendations
b) Testing procedure
   1. English synonyms test
   2. Logical-mathematical test
   3. Verbal logical test
   4. Mathematical test
c) Interview with SSE faculty.

6. What is included into the tuition fee?

Instruction fee and teaching materials: books, cases, compendia, and lecture materials are included into tuition fee.

The following items are not included:

• Transportation costs (airplane and train tickets, participants' transportation to the place the module is conducted)
• Lodging
• Food

7. Faculty.

Being a Western business school, SSE utilizes to the maximum extent Western teachers in the educational process. At present that makes more than 75 % of all faculty. You will meet lecturers from Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden, and invited lecturers from such recognized European and world partner schools as LBS, INSEAD, Babson College. The best Russian teachers are invited to teach as well.

8. What diploma is delivered upon graduating?

After successful graduation of the International Executive MBA, the participants get international diploma of the Stockholm School of Economics.

After graduating from Executive programmes, participants are delivered the certificate or diploma of the Stockholm School of Economics in Russia.

9. What differentiates your programmes from others?

In all our programmes we aim at integrating the best achievements of the Western management thought with the most successful cases of Russian business. To attain to such result we combine teachers and lecturers from academic environment, consulting and practicing managers.

10. Does the School help with employment issues?

Due to the fact that all the programmes offered by the School are of Executive Education format, i.e. oriented on working managers already employed, we are not offering employment services. There is Career Centre at School, which provides consultation services in the area of career planning and assisting in employment issues those participants who had decided to change occupation, scope of activity, or a job.
