A RAILWAY WITH TWO-WAVE TRAFFIC, Bogdan Yarusev

The memorandum was signed by head of the company Vladimir Yakunin and President of Stockholm School of Economics Lars Bergman. It is known that corporate education of railway specialists is based on a program of Executive MBA Stockholm School of Economics format that takes into account the needs of the industry. It consists of eight modules, includes two semesters and defense of the graduation projects. Seventy-five employees of the company already passed education under this program.
At a press conference the parties expressed satisfaction with their partnership. Thus, the head of RZD emphasized that quality of education in SSE corresponded to all modern requirements. It is not incidental that it is considered one of the best in Europe among the similar institutions and cooperates with 110 leading companies.
Yakunin shared his plans:
– We plan to implement educational programs of the school including those in the bachelor volume in our specialized universities in the future.
According to Yakunin, besides the professional education and managerial experience a contemporary manager should have corporate thinking, leader qualities and ability to understand a difficult economic situation. The President of the company also reported that from 2011 managers having qualification given by Stockholm School of Economics and knowing the English language would be appointed on the posts of directors of railways, departments of RZD and higher positions. He added, "I already issued a relevant order to our HR department."
In turn, Lars Bergman pointed out:
– We value partnership with RZD company. Our relations are a railway with two-way traffic.
He handed certificates for active participation in teaching activity of the school to V. Yakunin, his advisors I. Posadov and B. Lapidus, and Director of OZD V. Stepov. Some employees of the school were decorated with the sign "170 years of Russian railways."
Graduation exams of the employees of OZD studying under the program of SSE in mini MBA format began on the same day. According to Yakunin, two railway specialists who graduate from the school with the highest score at the exams this year will win the right to study under a full program of Stockholm School of Economics.
