A new webinar in the series of virtual meetings organized by Stockholm School of Economics in Russia will take place on November 1 at 6 p.m. Moscow time. This time, Patrick Furu, professor of management and organization of Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland, will be the host of the webinar. In the framework of the topic "The future of effective management: the experience of global corporations, research and leadership development" Patrick will cover the role of leadership in international companies, will voice facts and ideas necessary to master attention and sympathy of supporters and to lead them to future goals with assurance. For registration for the webinar it is necessary to fill in the form at the site of Stockholm School of Economics in Russia. Information about the host: Patrick Furu, former head of Hanken MBA program, is now professor of management and organization of Hanken, one of the oldest business schools of Europe, and scientific director of Hanken & SSE Executive – business course organized by two authoritative European business schools. Before work for Hanken Patrick carried out research as a visiting professor in the Copenhagen School of Economics and in the Uppsala University. Research of Patrick was focused on finding of new models of leadership. He presented scientific works to the international community dedicated to such topics as "Creation and spreading of new knowledge among employees in transnational companies" an "On the role of the board of directors in small companies." His professional activity includes consulting and practical training of managers of companies with use of personal growth strategies. Patrick worked with such corporations as Aktia, Cargotec, Elisa, Ericsson, Nokia, Nordea, Sandvik, Sampo, SEB, TeliaSonera and UPM. He also has broad experience of work with small and medium businesses and has specialized in team work of top management in IT industry lately. Patrick Furu is also experienced curator of educational training with groups from five to 150 participants.
