STOCKHOLM SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS RUSSIA ORGANIZED A HOLIDAY FOR GRADUATES

 

A solemn event took place in the Embassy of Sweden in Moscow in honor of the Association of Alumni of Stockholm School of Economics Russia. The annual solemn event was visited by more than 120 guests including graduates of Executive MBA SSE Russia programs and representatives of the Swedish business community in Russia. Graduates of EMBA General Management, Strategic Marketing and Oil&Gas groups who received their certificates five and ten years ago were awarded with honorable signs.

Veronika Bard Bringeus, ambassador of Sweden in Russia and head of the mission, read a greeting speech, "Today, we celebrate the role of higher business education for the society and we all know how important higher education is for development of the country. Having such important role, SSE Russia is a prominent example of cooperation and partnership of Russia and Sweden. Stockholm School of Economics Russia is unique on the Russian market of business education and, first of all, I congratulate graduates of SSE Russia. I am convinced that you will reap the fruits of your labor after education in the alma mater and in professional life."
Anders Liljenberg, dean of Stockholm School of Economics Russia, "For 17 years our school has successfully integrated values and traditions of Swedish business education in Russia. We sincerely hope that our graduates will join the mission of the school: assistance to steady development of socially responsible and open business."
Mathias Eklof, president and co-founder of Yell.ru, had a presentation entitled "How the Internet changes the format of Russian society. How to run business in the Runet." Eklof emphasized dynamic of development of e-commerce in the Russian Internet that he interpreted as indicators of growth of confidence of users in online business. Decrease of the share of cash in the Russian economy will contribute to growth of the share of "white" salaries on the labor market and transparency of the economy of Russia.
At present, Association of Alumni of Stockholm School of Economics Russia consists of 2,000 alumni, 900 of them having Executive MBA certificates, and graduates of various corporate programs of Stockholm School of Economics Russia. According to statistical data, more than 30% of new participants of Executive MBA programs know alumni of the school and many of the long-term corporate programs are ordered by graduates after learning in the framework of Executive MBA program.
