Publisher's Answers

Moscow, June 19, 2007 — the publishing house Mann, Ivanov and Ferber has signed an agreement with Stockholm School of Economics in Russia (SSE). Since the 1st of July authors’ rights on publishing books using the brand SSE as well as the rights to sell the SSE books will be relegated to the publishers Mann, Ivanov and Ferber.

We’ve received a lot of questions about this, so the publishing house Mann, Ivanov and Ferber compiled this FAQ.

– Will you use the SSE brand in the following books?
Yes, from today we will publish 2 series of books – “Mann, Ivanov & Ferber” and Stockholm School of Economics series. We will continue the concept of book choice, that SSE used, and we will leave the same book design. From our side we will add superb translation, active marketing and distribution – all the things we can do better than everyone else.

– Will SSE somehow affect your publishing policy?
Yes, we’ve signed licensed contract. According to it we are able to use the brand, but we must coordinate the books in the series.

– Will the quality of the books change?
For us this is very important question, that’s why we will combine all the best form SSE books and our publishing practice in MIF series. The quality will only increase.

– What is the cost of the deal?
This data is not revealed.

– How many books will you publish?
Not a lot, 6-8 books a year. We want to keep our model of small publisher. This allows us to work on every book, as long as it is necessary.

– What books will be re-published?
Right now we are working on this question: checking translation and their urgency. All this influence re-publishing question.

– Will you publish audio versions of famous SSE books?
Of course! We are already forming the queue and preparing first books.

– Can one buy a pack of all SSE books?
