Stockholm School of Economics in Russia is inviting SSE Russia students, graduates and School’s partners to a public talk and a Q&A session with Vladimir Yakunin.

Leading experts and politicians clearly highlight that the world has entered an era of tectonic transformation, accompanied by increasing global and regional instability, political, economic, ethnic and religious contradictions in different parts of the world.
The COVID-19 pandemic has catalysed the weaknesses, outlined both challenges and opportunities of modern political systems.

Vladimir Yakunin, Doctor of Political Science, Head of State Policy Department, Lomonosov Moscow State University, and visiting professor at the Stockholm School of Economics in Russia, will discuss the current systemic crises and invite participants to debate these and other issues:

  • Will national governments be able to cope with current challenges, show leadership and regain the trust of the citizens?
  • What will globalization look like after the pandemic?
  • Is a new architecture of "another world" waiting for us around the corner, or will we have to watch each other from behind the fences of "vaccine nationalism", "protectionism" and regionalisation?

The webinar is free of charge for participants. The operational language of the event is Russian. For your convenience, we will have a sound channel with simultaneous translation into English.

We are looking forward to your questions at emba@sserussia.org until November 8, 2021 marked "Questions for the webinar with Vladimir Yakunin"
