Stockholm School of Economics in Russia wishes SSE Riga all the best on its 25th anniversary
The SSE Riga history began 25 years ago with the admission of 56 students from Latvia. Today the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga has more than 2500 Alumni from all over the world, many of whom have built bright and successful careers in various sectors of the market. On behalf of all SSE Russia employees and Alumni, we offer our sincere congratulations to our colleagues, friends and graduates of SSE Riga on this remarkable occasion and wish them success in all their future professional activities!
"We are proud of our Alumni’s strong spirit, students’ ambition and the commitment of our staff - all of whom have made SSE Riga the integral part of their lives. The Stockholm School of Economics has something special to offer, something more significant than just a fine education. More than anything, it is a unique community of like-minded people, regardless of their country of residence, nationality and languages they speak," commented Anders Paalzow, the president of the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and Russia.
On November 6, 2019, Latvian President Egils Levits greeted the SSE Riga staff and offered his best wishes to them marking the school’s milestone. He thanked SSE Riga for its active work in establishing Latvia as a creative and progressive country. Mr Levits exchanged handshakes with Anders Paalzow, as well as other employees and professors of the School, and left a note in the guest book: “In its 25 years of existence, SSE Riga has demonstrated its ability to educate and bring together forward-thinking minds, who keep coming up with the brilliant innovative solutions for some of the most complicated challenges in our society! Many thanks to the Rector, faculty, staff, students and graduates!”.
In November, SSE Riga plans to hold a number of events to signify the School's anniversary.
