Stockholm School of Economics in Russia became an official partner of Smart Nordic Tech
For the first time ever on October 24 in Moscow, dozens of companies from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland gathered for the Smart Nordic Tech 2019, which became the largest Nordic business event in Russia. Participants presented their best solutions to their Russian partners.
The Stockholm School of Economics in Russia aims to contribute to the long-term sustainable development of the business environment in a cross-cultural context and therefore it became the official partner of the event.
The Smart Nordic Tech program included both a seminar and Meet&Greet business communication platform, as well as presentations by the Nordic companies well established in the Russian market. Open discussions were dedicated to the topic of modern equipment and industrial technologies, trends in fields of construction and energy and international investment in Russia.
The participants included such stalwarts of business as Business Sweden, Ericsson, DB Schenker Finland, Ernst & Young Finland, IKEA, Innovation Norway, Nordea, the largest Nordic bank and others. The forum featured speeches by the Ambassadors of Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland to Russia, as well as by Arkady Dvorkovich, the chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation.
The scale of the event showed that Nordic companies are still interested in the Russian market and many of them are working successfully to expand their activities in our country.
Anders Paalzov, the president of the Stockholm School of Economics in Russia says: “Such an event not only provides an ideal opportunity to arrange effective business meetings, but also stresses the importance of convergence of business cultures. Swedish executives see the great potential in the Russian market, which we in SSE, as a business school, are certainly glad to see. This means that our graduates will continue to be in demand in both Russian and international markets”.
Following the Forum, Anders Paalzow together with members of Östkontoret met with Adrkady Dvorkovich, keynote speaker at the Forum. “The discussion focused on the areas of future cooperation with the aim of strengthening the ties between Russia and Sweden. Participation of SSE Russia in this meeting proved the importance of our school in this cooperation process”, commented Anders Paalzow.
