and the Stockholm School of Economics have been long-standing partners. Almost every year MMK send a number of their employees to attend Executive MBA programs. And it’s the first time that as many as 30 MMK employees have undergone training at the Stockholm School of Economics as part of “The New Generation” corporate program, customized for the enterprise specifically. The major part of the program (5 modules) was held in Magnitogorsk.

SSE teachers from Sweden, Latvia and Russia taught students Strategy, Finance, Process Management, Art of Negotiation and Lean management. The final module, the sixth in succession, was dedicated to the application of business processes in Russian and foreign companies and was held in St Petersburg and Helsinki.

The training ended with defense of thesis projects held on June 20-21. The Board of Examiners comprised of MMK senior personnel, the Stockholm School of Economics teachers and headed by SSE Russia Rector Anders Paalzow, highly scored the projects of the participants.

“There are three key points I would like to emphasize, Anders Paalzow said. Firstly, all students point it out that knowledge gained change their mindset.
Secondly, disciplines they study during our modules help them put into practice many ideas. What we teach as part of our programs is of great utility for production processes. And thirdly, which is not common for all enterprises, MMK top management are also involved into the defense and contribute by actively asking questions".
