SSE Russia has launched its 14th EMBA group in Russian
Despite all the difficulties of Covid times, the Stockholm School of Economics in Russia launched its new group of Executive MBA program in November. The first module of the 14th EMBA group in Russian took place in the countryside "Scandinavia" hotel in Sestroretsk on November 24-28. In 2021, thirty people joined this Russian speaking group.
Alumni, who graduated in different years, came to greet the group as part of the first module. "Graduates are not just delighted to return to a welcoming learning environment. It is important for them to personally witness the quality of the new participants, as these people will soon become part of the SSE alumni community, which already has over 1300 members, "Alexei Gribanov, both GMR14 EMBA Program Director and SSE EMBA OG4 program graduate, comments.
The new program participants are not only business owners and top managers, who aim to focus both on management knowledge systematization and application of best practices to improve business efficiency, but also experienced heads of functional divisions seeking career development. They represent both Russian and international companies from various business areas (IT, logistics, real estate, heavy industry, oil production, energy, food industry, medicine). The new students include residents not only of Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also Krasnodar, Crimea, Ufa, Magnitogorsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok and Tashkent. The average age of the participants is 39 years old.
Anders Paalzow, the President of SSE Russia, said in his opening speech. "The EMBA is a challenging comprehensive program that requires from you an enormous amount of time and hard work. This will definitely pay off for everyone in their own way, but I can say definitely that your life will change after your graduation”.
GMR14 participants will attend 13 intense educational modules, work on a team project of change, and network with international experts and practitioner teachers who are consultants to major companies. In addition, the EMBA program includes a minimum of two international modules as well as the opportunity to take a module at one of GNAM's partner schools (Global Network for Advanced Management), which develops international networking and cross-cultural skills.
Earlier in September of last year EMBA GM22 group in English was launched.
The next groups will be launched in the autumn of 2022. The launch of GM23 group (English speaking group) is scheduled for October, 12 and GMR15 (Russian speaking group) for November, 23.
