The Leaders of Russia have the opportunity to spend educational grants for SSE Russia EMBA

Stockholm School of Economics has actively been developing partnerships in a wide variety of areas. A few years ago, we had the honor of being part of the nationwide Leaders of Russia competition, when we joined the list of business schools where finalists were able to use their grants for educational programs. Dozens of Leaders have already graduated from our Executive MBA program and have been promoted to senior positions in both governmental agencies and businesses.

In 2021the fourth Leaders of Russia management competition, a flagship project of the Russia — Land of Opportunity presidential platform, will be held. Registration for this contest has already started.

Russian President Vladimir Putin declared 2021 to be the Year of Science and Technology: technological and scientific innovations are taking a significant role, digitalization is no longer a theoretical concept of the future, and hence the need for highly qualified professionals has significantly grown. The Leaders of Russia competition provides the opportunity to develop both skills in a particular sector of the Russian economy and leadership skills. There are eight focused tracks to choose from: Business and Industry, Government management, Science, Culture, Health and IT, International and Students. Competitive recruitment will be based on the assessment of managerial ability in a particular sector.

From this year on, the focus is not just on finding general managers, but on professionals who know the ins and outs of their fields and are ready to transform their local industry," explained Alexey Komissarov, Director General of the ANO “Russia – the Country of Opportunity” and Head of Leaders of Russia competition.

"During my years of work at the Stockholm School of Economics' Russian campus, I have witnessed that Russia has a large number of passionate, creative leaders. They make a huge contribution to the development of their country through their achievements. And the government, in turn, actively supports these highly motivated people. The best minds take part in the Leaders of Russia competition, and I am glad that the SSE is opening its doors to them. I sincerely wish success and victory to all contest participants," Anders Paalzow, president of SSE Russia, says.
