Interview with the graduate of the EMBA program GM18 and Director National Agency of investments and privatization in Minsk Natalia Nikandrava about his studies at the Stockholm School of Economics in Russia.
Along with this, a possibility of learning exactly in the English language, language of international business was one of the important criteria for me. I have always looked at those who had a possibility to study in Stockholm School of Economics with envy and when such chance appeared I could not believe that the fate would be gracious and I would be among the students of Executive MBA program still.
First of all, the format of education when every student was actively used in the process surprised me pleasantly. Theoretical explanations are accompanied by active discussions in small groups, which allows accumulation of a broad range of opinions about the matter set and, what is extremely important, exchange of experience with the colleagues who represent absolutely different areas of activity. Students are also given difficult practical tasks that provide a possibility of submersion into real problems and focusing on their fulfillment and team approach to doing of practical exercises tests the leadership qualities of each of us and teaches us to listen to each other, to persuade and to find a joint solution.
Such approach creates an atmosphere of involvement and enthusiasm and allows not only easy remembering and structuring of the information but also provides conviction of yourself and wish to use the obtained knowledge in practice. The days allocated for studying of the module pass unnoticeably and despite a huge volume of information that it is necessary to study for preparation for the next full-time session you always wait for a meeting with colleagues and lecturers with impatience.
It is also very pleasant to feel as a part of a numerous community of students and alumni of the school, interesting and extraordinary people. I am sure that new opportunities will appear and new prospects will open in my life due to Stockholm School of Economics.
